“Meditation is a process of lightening up, of trusting the basic goodness of what we have and who we are, and of realizing that any wisdom that exists, exists in what we already have. We can lead our life so as to become more awake to who we are and what we’re doing rather than trying to improve or change or get rid of who we are or what we’re doing. The key is to wake up, to become more alert, more inquisitive and curious about ourselves.”
Meditation brings us back to the present moment to find peace, calm, and focus. Our world is loud and busy. It is easy for our 5 senses to become overwhelmed and our 6th sense, our intuition, to be ignored. Taking time each day to check in with yourself and call in what you need allows you to find the clarity you seek. There is no right, wrong, good, or bad way to meditate. It is whatever works for you. Find a relatively quiet but very comfortable place, close your eyes and breathe. If you mind wanders, that is okay. The practice is in bringing yourself back to the present moment. If needed, we have many resources here at The Wild Sage Collective to help you with this practice.
